National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory For Bergen County From 4AM Thursday Through 1PM Thursday
Snow starts overnight tonight and continues before changing to freezing rain around the morning rush hour, then rain by about 10am Thursday. Rain ends in the early afternoon. Total snow accumulation is expected to average a dusting – 2 inches with an average 0.05” to 0.10” coating of ice.

Bergen County OEM is continuing to monitor the remnants of hurricane Debby as they approach our area. While the heaviest impacts from this system are moving to our west, we can still expect to feel the effects of Debby in Bergen County.
This tropical depression is expected to continue to produce intermittent rain showers with the potential pop up thunderstorm today. Bergen County OEM is continuing to monitor this rain event that will affect our area through Thursday evening. The heaviest rain will occur this afternoon through tonight (3pm-11pm). Total rainfall is expected to be around 2 -3 inches for the entire event. COUNTYWIDE: Bergen County OEM is monitoring a rain event that will affect our area through Thursday evening. The heaviest rain will occur on Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night. Total rainfall is expected to be around 2 -3 inches for the entire event.  Runoff will result in minor to moderate flash flooding of rivers, small creeks, streams, and other low lying and flood prone locations. Urban flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas is likely.  Minor tidal flooding is possible for this event.
